My Favorite Book Summary
SPIDERWICK is about when Nick and his Cousin find a magical creature named Tola. Tola tells Nick that there are other creatures out in the real world. Tola is a magical creature that has no abilities and when Tola choke Nick saves her. The creatures had captured his sister because they knew Nick would try to find her. While Nick’ sister played outside the creatures became invisible to everyone who was not in the fairy world.
Nick decides to go on an adventure after the creatures captured his sister. He goes out to find his sister to save her from dangerous creatures. When Nick goes to find the creatures in the Field Guide, the creatures start trying to make plans to get Nick. The Field Guide is important to the evil fairies because if it is destroyed the evil fairies will be destroyed also.
Nick found a message on the back of the Field Guide that says the creatures took his sister. Nick decides that the only thing he can do is follow the Field Guide to save his sister. When he finds the book the creatures start coming out from the dark shadows to come and get the kids and the Spiderwick Field Guide. The creatures do everything they can to get the magical book from the kids and to kill them. Nick gets help in saving in his sister because the good fairies help him on his adventures throughout the story. Nick saved his sister by destroying the book.

Annie and Jack went on an adventure to the Old West and they saw these guys that are robbers. They dropped a horse that was too slow. Then when the guy left they gon on the horse and started riding it. Soon as they left a cowboy, Slim Cathes, threatened to kill them and Annie told him they were not robbers.
Slim takes Annie and Jack back to the place Slim stays but when they get back he told them about a scary story. Jack asked about it and when Slim was finished reading the story, Jack and Annie fell asleep. Slim goes to sleep too.
In the morning slim offered Jack a biscuit and a drink when he was finished they left and went to the motel to find out if the ghost is real and they found out in the hotel that the ghost is not real. They found the book and when they found it they told Slim goodbye and went to the treehouse.
